Citizens Bank of Edmond’s President Joins Subchapter S Bank Association Advisory Board
The Subchapter S Bank Association is excited to announce the appointment of Jill Castilla as an advisory board member, effective immediately. Mrs. Castilla’s appointment expands the board to eight members. Other board members include Randy Rouse (Broadway Bank, San Antonio, TX), Guy Colado (Commerce National Bank & Trust, Winter Park, FL), Peter Haddeland (First National Bank in Mahnomen, Mahnomen, MN), John Madden (First National Bank LaGrange, La Grange, IL), Alfred Jones (American Bank, N.A., Corpus Christi, TX), Patrick J. Kennedy, Jr. (Kennedy Sutherland LLP) and William D. Sutherland, VI (Kennedy Sutherland LLP).

Jill Castilla is the President/CEO at Citizens Bank of Edmond, a $250 million community bank in Edmond, Oklahoma. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Graduate School of Banking and has a Master's in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. Castilla is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from Hawaii Pacific University where she earned a BSBA in Finance. Castilla serves on the boards of directors for Oklahoma Bankers Association and Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma as well as trustee for UCO Foundation and Edmond Public Schools Foundation. In 2014, Castilla was named as one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking” by American Banker. She also received the Woman of the Year award by the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and “50 Making A Difference” by the Journal Record. Under her leadership, Citizens has been awarded “Best Bank”, “Best Customer Service”, “Best Locally Owned Company”, “Best Workplaces”, “Best Long-Term Business” and “Best Employer Under 500 Employees” by Oklahoma City metro publications.
Prior to rejoining Citizens in 2009, Castilla managed check automation, cash services, HR, public affairs and financial management at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and served on the senior management team at a Minnesota community bank. Following enlistment in the U.S. Army and Oklahoma Army National Guard, she started her banking career in Citizens' Operations Department. Since returning to Citizens, Castilla has held the positions of Chief Credit Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer until 2014 when she was appointed to her current position. She is the 4th generation of ownership and management at Citizens.
